Zines 📖

What the heck are zines anyway?

As the name implies, they're kinda like magazines, but are generally shorter and smaller than their mainstream counterparts. Zines can be created by one person or many, about any subject you can think of. They can contain prose, art, collage, photography...whatever you'd like! They're an easy way for artists to share ideas, as you only need paper to make them - the simplest zines are made by folding a sheet of paper into an 8-page booklet.

Try 'em out sometime!

✦ Personal Zines ✦

All of the projects I've made, including things I'm currently working on:

ChristmAZ: A Long-Distance Relationship Zine

Status In progress
Content Warnings Minor swearing

A travel zine about visiting my long-distance partner and his family for Christmas!

When done, it'll contain 44 pages of comics detailing our adventures in Arizona.

✦ Other Zines ✦

All of the projects I've been a part of, organized by other creators:

Aromanticism: A Community Zine

Organizer albertaacesandaros
Availability PDF downloads
Content Warnings None

A zine made to highlight aromantic experiences in my community.

My submission was a standalone comic about feeling romantic attraction for the very first time, plus which sublabels I relate to the most.

Banjo-Partie!

Organizer hyenafu
Availability Out of print
Content Warnings None

A Banjo-Kazooie fan-zine featuring art and comics from longtime fans of the series!

I submitted two pieces of my all-time favorite robot shark and best boy, Clanker. A few other people drew him as well, so the book ended up a bit shark-heavy, haha.

Gummy Guts 2

Organizer Aycee
Availability Out of print
Content Warnings Body horror, cartoon gore

An art book dedicated to the candy gore aesthetic, where organs and blood take on bright rainbow hues or are replaced by cute, unassuming objects - often desserts or crystals.

My submission was themed around the idea of a tree-like character having amber guts.
